About
"A quietly expressive alpine home, where art, texture and mountain light combine"
Alpine Gloria is a thoughtfully curated one-bedroom apartment set within Squatters Run, overlooking Thredbo’s vibrant Village Square.
Named in honour of the acclaimed Aboriginal artist, the space carries a sense of warmth and intention, where carefully layered materials and distinctive details create a soulful mountain escape.
Natural light moves gently through the apartment across the day, enhancing its calm, intimate atmosphere, while cafés, restaurants and ski lifts are all just moments from the door.
Setting the Scene
Positioned in the heart of Thredbo Village within Kosciuszko National Park, Squatters Run offers immediate access to the energy of the square, while maintaining a sense of retreat above it.
The surrounding alpine landscape shifts dramatically with the seasons from snow-covered peaks in winter to open, sunlit trails in summer, creating a setting that feels both dynamic and restorative year-round.
The Grand Tour
Entry is via a generous hallway, where a bespoke statement carpet sets a considered and textural tone from the outset, an invitation to slow down and settle into the space.
The apartment opens into an open-plan living area, intimate in scale yet carefully composed. A fireplace forms the natural heart of the room, casting warmth through the cooler months, while layered textiles, timber finishes and curated furnishings create a balance of rustic character and quiet refinement.
The kitchen is fully equipped and seamlessly integrated into the living space, with a generous pantry and a dining setting designed for relaxed, shared meals. Underfloor heating runs throughout, adding comfort and during winter stays.
The bedroom offers a calm and private space, with soft natural light and a second television for added flexibility.
In the bathroom, the atmosphere shifts to one of quiet indulgence. A deep soaking bath, framed in reclaimed timber and softened by ambient lighting, offers a restorative pause, complemented by a separate walk-in rain shower.
The Great Outdoors
There is a small balcony that is sun drenched in the afternoon and the perfect spot for a morning coffee & pastry whilst deciding the plan for the day.
The parking space is located in the Squatters run complex, undercover and offers a EV charger for those with electric vehicles.
Practical features within Squatters Run include bike storage, ski & boot storage, e-bike charging and a dedicated wash area making Alpine Gloria equally suited to both winter and summer stays.
Out and About
Thredbo is one of Australia’s most celebrated alpine destinations, offering skiing and snowboarding in winter, and hiking, mountain biking and river activities through the warmer months.
The Village Square sits at the centre of it all, with a selection of restaurants, cafés and bars within easy reach. Whether it’s an early coffee before first lifts or an evening meal after a day outdoors, everything is close at hand.
